MCF acted as financial advisor to Patria in the sale of its subsidiary Patria Pilot Training to Airways Aviation
Patria, a Finnish defence and technology company, has entered into an agreement to sell 100% of the shares in its subsidiary Patria Pilot Training Oy (“Patria Pilot Training”), a provider of civilian pilot training, to UAE-based Airways Aviation Group (“Airways Aviation”). Patria Pilot Training offers professional civilian pilot training in Tampere and Vantaa in Finland, and in Córdoba in Spain.
MCF advised Patria and helped facilitate the deal through its proven ability to successfully execute strategic sell-side transactions.
The Deal
Airways Aviation is a privately owned aviation education and training organization headquartered in UAE that has active operations in more than 10 countries in Europe, Africa, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
As of 1 February 2025, all employees, operations and ongoing training courses of Patria Pilot Training will be transferred to Airways Aviation. Operations will be rebranded as Airways Aviation Nordic, expanding Airways Aviation’s footprint in the region.
The Target
Patria Pilot Training focuses on arranging professional civilian pilot training in Tampere and Vantaa, Finland and in Córdoba, Spain. These operations employ 30 people in Finland and five in Spain.
