MCF advises Axel Johnson International on acquisition of the mechanical power transmission business of SKS Group
MCF introduced Axel Johnson International to SKS Group and supported them on the acquisition of SKS’s mechanical power transmission business, which consists of five companies with combined sales of EUR 40 million. As market leaders in their respective niches, they offer premium products and services to the Nordic machine and equipment building industry. MCF’s introduction led to an exclusive dialogue between the buyer and seller.
“We found MCF’s service invaluable throughout the entire process. In particular, we valued the early stage, introductory efforts which allowed us to enter into exclusive negotiations.”
The Deal
With the acquisition, Axel Johnson International further strengthens its presence in the Nordic power transmission market. “This acquisition is a perfect match with our growth strategy of acquiring market leading distributors with a high degree of technical know-how and competence in mechanical power-transmission solutions,” says Ola Sjölin, Managing Director of Axel Johnson International‘s Industrial Solutions. “It is also in line with Axel Johnson International’s aim to be technical solution providers.”
Following the closing of the transaction, the five companies will operate as an independent group under the SKS brand name within Axel Johnson International’s Industrial Solutions business group.
