MCF supports FCG in partnering with Bridgepoint Development Capital
FCG Holding Sverige AB (FCG), a high growth, market-leading provider of specialist risk and compliance services to the financial sector, has signed an agreement to partner with Bridgepoint Development Capital (BDC), the small and mid-cap growth financing arm of the international investment firm Bridgepoint. MCF acted as financial adviser to the owners of FCG in the transaction.
The Deal
Under the partnership agreement, BDC will acquire a significant stake in FCG and provide it with resources that will allow the company to realise its expansion plans. Increased and stricter financial markets regulation requires deeper and broader competencies to ensure internal control and compliance with market rules. In line with this, demand for consultancy services in the area of Governance, Risk and Compliances (GRC) has also risen. As a result, the European GRC market shows double-digit growth rates. The partnership with BDC will allow FCG to realise the resulting further growth potential in the Nordics and beyond.
The Target
Headquartered in Stockholm, FCG is the leading Nordic specialist provider of GRC services, primarily focused on the financial sector. The company offers expertise in the form of consultancy services, outsourcing and fund administration from offices in Stockholm, Malmö, Copenhagen and Oslo. Over the past few years, FCG has shown rapid growth, driven by the successful introduction of new service concepts and long-term embedded customer relationships. Under the new ownership and in partnership with BDC, the company will continue to build on its position as a leading specialist provider of GRC services to the financial sector in the Nordics and pursue an expansion into other geographies.
